WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2012 (WCS 2012)

World Cosplay Summit in 2012 is celebrate its 10th anniversary!! The cosplayers will gather in Nagoya from 20 countries which is ever highest record of participating countries. Now, WCS2012 has started from Finland.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2011 (WCS 2011)

World Cosplay Summit 2011, to celebrate the 9th year.
All of cosplayers from 17 countries which is a record high will gather in Nagoya City. There are various events, stage shows, parades, an academic symposiums, photos sessions !! Finally, August 07 (Sunday) the World Cosplay Championship to be held at the Oasis 21 is a must !
Which cosplay pair will gets the honor of the world's No.1 at WCS2011 ?

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2010 (WCS 2010)

In World Cosplay Summit 2010, 30 cosplayers in total joined into WCS 2009 from 15 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand and the United States) all over the world. The Grand Champion is pair of Italian national team. Italy is the 2nd time won in conjunction with WCS2005.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2009 (WCS 2009)

For Australia and Finland joined, from a total of 15 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, United States) have a total of 30 cosplayers participated in World Cosplay Summit 2009.
The Grand Champion was a pair of Japanese representatives. Japan was the first ever winner of the championship at WCS.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2008 (WCS 2008)

Total 14 teams from 13 countries took part - United States, France, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Thailand, Singapore, China, Korea, Mexico, the United States and Japan (Tokyo and Osaka entries) in World Cosplay Summit 2008.
The Grand Champion, "Burst Angel" of Brazilian team. The victory was the 2nd time won in conjunction with WCS2006.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2007 (WCS 2007)

The World Cosplay Summit 2007 was held as part of the "Visit to Japan" Campaign promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. In WCS2007 it welcomed three new participating countries, Mexico, Korea and Denmark, and cosplayers gathered from a total of 12 countries. The Grand Champion was the French team.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2006 (WCS 2006)

3 new countries, Brazil, Thailand and Singapore, join into WCS this year, the World Cosplay Summit2006 welcomed 22 representative cosplayers from total 9 countries (All participating countries: Italy, Germany, France, Spain, China, Brazil, Thailand, Singapore, Japan). The Grand Champion was Brazil, first participation to WCS.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2005 (WCS 2005)

World Cosplay Summit 2005 on August 07, became the first ever Cosplay Summit, as the Performance Contest (personal class, group class). 7 participating countries (Italy, Germany, France, Spain, USA, China, Japan), total 40 cosplayers. At the personal class, winner was "Giorgia Vecchini" from Italy, and at the group class, winner was France team, and the Grand Champion was Italy team.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2004 (WCS 2004)

In the second year of the event, it was moved to July in the summer. Each 2 cosplayers from 4 countries (Italy, Germany, France, USA) besides Japan took part in the Event, coming to "Osu town" in Nagoya City. In the "Osu" parade, along with foreign cosplayers, Over 100 Japanese cosplayers participated.

WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT2003 (WCS 2003)

The "World Cosplay Summit 2003" was held in October and was the inaugural year of WCS. 3 countries from abroad (Italy, Germany, France) participated, and a total of 5 international cosplayers took part. Not only was the event covered by all major media networks in Japan, it was also broadcast internationally.
